Mission Statement Expanded:

To establish and develop entire team track and field athletic competitions

The goal of the World Team Track & Field Athletics (WTTFA) is to create and to maintain entire team track and field athletic competitions. These competitions would include professional and amateur athletes. They may be formed into leagues or exhibition meets designed to captivate the needs and requests of the sport and its fans. The World Team Track & Field Athletics (WTTFA) will work closely with already established individual team track and field athletic competitions organized under the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) and USA Track and Field (USATF).

that are devoted to enriching the values of the sport, honoring the track & field tradition,

The World Team Track & Field Athletics (WTTFA) is dedicated to honoring the fundamental values of the track and field sport. These values include the primordial desire to know who can run faster, throw farther, jump higher or jump longer without the use of body enhancing drugs or equipment, creating a more competitive environment by teammates supporting and pushing each other to excellence. This means head-to-head competitions with Individuals and entire teams.

and increasing the entertainment level for the fans.

The World Team Track & Field Athletics (WTTFA) understands the value of good entertainment. Entertainment attracts the fans and the fans attract the sponsors. The WTTFA will take track and field to a new level of audience participation and enjoyment. The World Team Track & Field Athletics (WTTFA) is committed to encouraging fans’ enjoyment of the sport. Some ways of accomplishing this will be to highlight the head-to-head aspect of competition, make track & field easier to understand and follow, and to introduce variables that encourage team strategy. Social media and interactive events will also be added to increase fans’ feeling of involvement with the athletes during and after meets.
